Vradeto is a part of Central Zagori area and belongs to the municipality of Timfi.
- North of the village there is the mountain Timfi with Gamila peak (2497m), Astraka peak (2436m) and several other peaks and of course between them, one can find the lake Drakolimni, which will be mentioned later.
- West of Vradeto lies Vikos Canyon with a length of almost twenty kilometers and it is the most beautiful, natural sight in Europe, which is visited by thousands of people!!!
- At the East and South sides of Vradeto you can have a view of all the area of Central Zagori. As the professor A. Katharios after his visit at Vradeto in 1913 said “you can see everything till the horizon”. Vradeto is also known as “Balcony of Zagori” because its altitude is 1340m and is actually higher than the other villages!
In 1799, Nikolaos Tsigaras offered money to built our church and dedicate it to “Virgin Mary’s Birth”. Its celebration is on September 8th every year and on that day a festival takes place on the front yard. Here the visitor will hear most Zagori songs and dance all of them. During the day of the festival, people have the change to socialize with others, make commercial conversations and expatriation to Vradeto of those who had gone away. Traditional songs that one can hear are: Konstantis, Kleftes, Frasia, Alexandra, Kapesovo and so many others. There is also a song about Vradeto, but it is not easy to translate!!(you will know what I'm talking about as soon as you listen to that song)
